We are excited to be opening again! As of June 1st, 2020 we will be seeing patients in our newly painted and upgraded office. We have done everything we possibly can to make the office safe for both our patients and our staff post COVID.
Please have patience with us as we are attempting to rebook 10 weeks of patients and use the new protocols set by the Province of Ontario, our College of Optometrist of Ontario and our Association of Optometrists of Ontario.
Starting on June 1st, our office will be open by appointment only. Patients will call from their vehicle when they arrive and will be pre-screened before entering the office. When the patients enter the office, they must use hand sanitizer and wear a mask. MASKS WILL BE MANDATORY. If you do not have a mask of your own, you can purchase one from our office for $5.00 and the proceeds will be donated to Optometry Giving Sight.
The office will only be open to the patient and in cases of minors, their caregiver or interpretor. Please do not bring extra family members to the appointment.
Due to the difficulty of using masks (they fog up glasses and equipment), shields on the doctors etc, it is more difficult to perform retinal assessments; for this reason, we are asking all patients to have an OCT/retinal photography in addition to their regular covered examination. There is an additional charge for this assessment and may be covered under private insurance. Any patient who does not want to have this additional testing is asked to wait for their appointment to be booked later, when masks and shields are no longer necessary.
